“Total Driving” was born from the desire to learn and the need to discover new roads. We set out on this journey with a team that is both results driven and dedicated to closing the gap between the car and the driver. This ambitious project was created from our experience in the field of driving devices and from their unique applications. This endeavor after years of research has allowed us to better understand and develop our products to meet three key principles. These key principles are the evaluation of the person as an individual, their specific needs and how they all are connected to the problematic. These are all fundamental in terms of security, guaranteed access, comfort and a drivability of the vehicle.

On the basis of these considerations, Guido Simplex is proud to present a series of studied solutions specially designed to be utilize by individuals that do not want to give up their self autonomy and freedom of movement. Our belief and our passion is that the open road no matter how far one travels, should be and now is accessible to everyone with “Total Driving”.

Access to the vehicle
	- With the use of a “radio command” we can activate the opening and closing of the back door and we can control the exiting of the lift and the closing and folding of it once inside of the vehicle. Even the side door can be automatic and operated in sync with the lift by using a remote control thus allowing the user to laterally access to the vehicle with one’s own wheelchair.
Access to the Driving Position
	Transferring the Driver’s Seat- The transfer of the wheelchair to the driver seat takes place inside of the vehicle making it both safe and comfort for the driver.
	Wheelchair Driving- Once inside the vehicle the users can assimilate directly into the driving position with their own wheelchair. A specially designed “anchor system” is electronically operated from the driving console and once engaged, it blocks the wheelchair from any possible movement.
Driving Devices
Various solutions can be designed in function with the specific needs of the individual user. Individual freedom, personalized solutions and putting control back into the hands of the driver is what “Total Driving” is all about.
	The Joystick DGS-01 Driving is “assisted“with a new device called the DGS-01 that allows the user with limited driving capability to drive in a simple, safe and easy manner. The GDS-01 is a device with the grip like the Joystick but for versatility can be transformed into a mini steering or bike steering devise. The DGS-01 steering system guarantees complete control of the vehicle with the minimum effort.
	Accelerator and Brake Systems- The electronic accelerator device and the hydraulic brakes allow for freedom and total control of the acceleration and braking systems in a complete and secure manner with minimum effort.
	Electronic Accelerator-The accelerator is leather wrapped steering ring that is installed over the original steering wheel. The ring is mounted to the steering column using a clamp and the steering column bolt. The vehicle’s original nut and bolt mechanism. The accelerator and steering systems can be operated simultaneously by applying pressure to any point of the steering wheel thus allowing the drive to have a safe and secure grip on the wheel at all times. In case of a sudden stop a special security system will disengage the accelerator automatically. The Steering system can be adapted to retro fit any type of vehicle and guarantees its operation even in a case where the AIR-BAG is deployed. The electronic part interfaces directly with the original electronics of the vehicle guaranteeing excellent performance and reliable security.
